National At-Home Dad Network 18th Annual At-Home Dads ConventionThe 18th Annual At-Home Dads Convention is set for October 18-19* in Denver, and, for the first time the event will feature two days of official content.

The convention will be held at the Tivoli Building on the Auraria Campus in downtown Denver, and the National At-Home Dad Network, which runs the conference, is excited about adding an extra day to the event.

The Auraria Campus will provide a central location to all convention activities and is home to Metropolitan State University of Denver, the University of Colorado-Denver and the Community College of Denver. It is in proximity to the entertainment districts of LoDo, the 16th Street Mall and the Pepsi Center (home of the NBA’s Nuggets and NHL’s Avalanche) as well as everything else downtown Denver has to offer.

The official hotel is the SpringHill Suites Denver Downtown, which is a short walk away from the Auraria Campus. A special rate of $129 a night has been established for convention attendees from Oct. 17-21 and is available now (Convention registration will be available in a few months).

We believe adding additional content will give stay-at-home dads a more valuable experience. Previous attendees of the convention have expressed interest in more time to interact and network with other at-home dads as well as expanding the parenting education aspect of the convention.

Other popular events like the Thursday Dads Night Out, Friday Meet and Greet and post-convention dinner will still be held in addition to other yet-to-be-announced activities. See the Event Schedule for details.

The convention is coming off of one of its most successful years ever, in which 84 dedicated fathers from across the country attended in the Washington, D.C. suburb of Alexandria, Va. Organizers are looking forward to another successful year as the convention grows and moves west to Colorado.

Are you even more excited about attending one of the longest-running fatherhood events in the country?

Please note that the date of the 18th Annual At-Home Dads Convention has been changed from the previously announced Sept. 28 due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict with another conference in town.
